It goes without saying that those who teach classes at The Bascom are talented, using their education and experience to share their skills with the rest of us. From January 5th through March 31st the works of individual art teachers will be on display for students and visitors to ogle. The opportunity to view this local talent is welcome and adds an intimate touch to the Highlands art museum.
The etchings of Polly Knipp Hill are a sight to behold as they demonstrate a life dedicated to art. Ms. Hill’s career as an artist began in the 1920s and her pieces span the gamut, from European architecture to scenes from American culture. There was a period of time when Ms. Hill lived and created in Highlands NC and the opportunity to view her works is not to be missed. This exhibit will be on display through March 10th.
