This is the last weekend to enjoy the Cashiers Designer Showhouse. Each year the Cashiers Historical Society showcases a home in the Cashiers NC area which different designers and members participate in. One person may decorate the living room while another takes charge of the kitchen, and so on. Of course the gardens are not overlooked either! This year’s home, “Lone Chimney Lodge”, is in Pinchot and has been on display since August 18. The last day to your the Cashiers NC property will be on Sunday, September 2nd.
All proceeds from the home go to the Cashiers Historical Society which is “dedicated to the preservation and protection of the historical and cultural character of the community”. There are many stunning homes in Cashiers NC and the history of the area is an important detail not to be overlooked.
The Zachary-Tolbert House Museum is a wonderful representation of the history and architecture of Cashiers North Carolina. Surrounded by a 4 mile nature trail the house is a wonderful way to learn more about the Cashiers area.
