Grab your partner and shine up your dancing shoes for the Cashiers-Highlands Humane Society’s Pawsitively Purrfect Evening. This great event is scheduled to begin at 6pm on June 17th at the Country Club of Sapphire Valley. In addition to a great evening of dancing, there will be dinner and cocktails plus a live auction which will feature some great items from local merchants. Auction highlights include resort travel, golf packages, a dinner party in your own home by “Two Men and a Grill”, jewelry, and artworks. Tickets are $375 per couple and $185.50 per individual. The philosophy of the Cashiers-Highlands Humane Society is to provide a caring and compassionate home for the animals in the care until they find the animal a forever home. On any given day, there may be up to 75 dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens in the nonprofit, no kill shelter – most of which were strays from the surrounding villages and towns.
