Stay tuned for Holiday festivities in the Cashiers/Highlands NC area this year. Throughout the region parades will be the center of attraction and you’ll want to mark your calendar for these special events. The Jackson County NC parades begin on November 29th with Franklin NC’s “Christmas in the Mountains;” this event will be on Highlands Road and participants are directed to decorate their floats using their favorite Christmas memory. Also, participants will have the chance to win prizes.
Other parades coming up in December include “Celebrate the Season” in Canton on December 3rd, Bryson City’s “35th Annual Christmas Parade” on December 5th, “Olde Mountain Christmas Parade” in Highlands also on December 5th, and December 12th is the “Christmas Parade” for Cashiers NC held in downtown.
