Several Festivals are in store for Jackson County NC in the coming week. This Saturday, May 30 is The Cherokee Strawberry Festival from 9am to 2 pm which will feature story-telling, a talent show, dancing and singing, as well as various homemade products with Strawberries as the key ingredient; admission is free of charge at the Cherokee Indian Fair Grounds.
Coming up in June, are the Cherokee Gourd Festival and the Spring Artist Festival. Enjoy several days of festivities from June 5 to June 7 with classes, displays, vendors, demonstrations, and, of course, gourds at the Cherokee Gourd Festival. On June 6th, don’t miss the Spring Artist Festival at The Old Mill 1886 from 10 am to 5 pm. Artists from the Southeastern area will be there to demonstrate and sell their crafts; for unique handmade jewelry, stone and wood carvings, great food and more check out the Spring Artist Festival this year.
