A little bit about me...

I have been blessed to call Highlands home for more than 32 years. Originally from Eastern Pennsylvania, I graduated from Clemson University with a BS in Architectural-Design in 1992 and moved to Highlands the following year to work for a local architecture firm. In 2009, I co-founded Summit Architecture, PA, which I still manage today.
My background in architecture and construction has given me a deep appreciation for what makes a mountain property work. With more than 44 years involved in the building and development industry, I understand the nuances of designing and building in the mountains that I am privileged to call home. I have been fortunate to work with clients through every stage of the process, from the earliest concepts to the completion of construction, with careful attention to every detail along the way.
Highlands is also where I raised my children, Colin and Emma, both graduates of Highlands School. Colin is now back working in Highlands, also in the Construction Industry, after graduating from Clemson University. Emma graduated from NC State University and lives in Raleigh working in the Fashion Field.  I met my wife Jody in Highlands as well and expanded my family to include Jody’s children, Cayden and Stephen.  Community service has been an important part of my life since I arrived here, thanks in large part to the guidance of my mentor, architect Dennis DeWolf. I am grateful to have served through organizations including the Highlands Rotary Club and the Highlands Community Foundation.  I also have spent many years coaching Middle and High School soccer at Highlands School.
I plan to spend the rest of my life on the Plateau, helping preserve the community that has given so much to my family. Outside of work, I enjoy time with my wife, Jody, and all of our Children and great firends, and I still love cheering on my alma mater.
