It is all about art in Highlands NC this weekend. Saturday there are numerous activities and events occurring at The Bascom, enabling you to look, mingle, or even test your own creativity, the choice is yours. There are even activities for the kids.
A sampling of Saturday’s events at The Bascom:
The Three Potters: This year’s annual clay symposium will feature three of theof the most well known potters in America: Cynthia Bringle, Michael Sherrill, and Ron Meyers. Come see their works on display.
Kid’s Creation Station, 10 am to Noon. Kids will create masterpieces from recycled materials in this fabulous class for kids ages 5-9.
Opening Reception & Awards Presentation from 5 to 7 pm. Meet the artists and celebrate the opening of a new exhibit at The Bascom, American Art Today: Figures. There will be an artist talk at 6:00pm.
The Bascom is a true asset to the Highlands community, offering unique exhibits, fantastic discussions, classes and a variety of events throughout the year.
