The Highlands Motoring Festival comes to town this week. Highlands NC celebrates cars this week with the annual Motoring Festival. Known as the “Highest Motoring Festival East of the Rockies” this fun festival centers around automobiles and driving and is a fun summer event that we all look forward to each summer. The festival runs this Thursday, June 9, and runs through Sunday June 12.
The Highlands Motoring Festival will kick off Thursday evening at the Ugly Dog Pub and is open to the public. On Friday the annual One Lap of the Mountains Cruse will occur, a full day of driving around the greater Highlands area. Friday evening the Motoring to the Beach Gala will take place, a fun evening with beach music and fundraising for the Literacy Project. Saturday will involve both a car show and music in the park. and Sunday will wrap up with Cars and Coffee, a great opportunity to talk with car owners.
