Don’t miss the Highlands NC photo opportunity with Santa this week.  Holiday season is in full swing in the Highlands/Cashiers area.  From the Highlands NC Christmas parade earlier this month to the ongoing Cashiers NC Festival of Trees there is always something to do.  In addition there is always something to remind all of us why this time of year is special in our mountain community.

Photos with Santa is a Highlands NC community tradition.  On Saturday, December 16, you can find Santa at the Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park from 10 am until 3 pm.  This is you chance to get a photo of the kids on Santa’s lap.  This is also an opportunity for the kids to whisper their last minute wishes into Santa’s ear.

The Southern Blue Ridge Mountains are magical at any time of year.  However, this time of year is extra magical.  There are so many moments to come together as a community to mingle with old friends and make new friends.  It is the sense of community here that brings people from near and far to enjoy the Highlands and Cashiers NC area.
