Highlands NC is the place to be for Independence Day. It’s hard to believe but summer is underway and the 4th of July Is this week. This year will not disappoint, offering plenty of family fun. As in past years, hotdogs, rubber ducks, live music, and fireworks will be part of the festivities. Join the Highlands NC community on Thursday to celebrate our nation’s birthday.

Mountain fun abounds at this time of year. While the 4th of July is a special time on the Highlands Plateau, there is always something wonderful going on in our community. Hiking, fishing, golfing, and canoeing are among the many activities that will get you outside enjoying the fresh mountain air. Of course, weekly concerts and farmers markets add to the opportunities to mingle with friends and family while meeting new friends simultaneously.
