Don’t miss the Highlands NC plant sale this Saturday.  This year marks the 35th year for the annual plant sale, put on by the Mountain Garden Club.  The sale features hand dug, quality plants from local gardens.  As a result these plants are perfect for Highlands homes.  If you have yet to plan your summer garden or are in need for additional plantings make your way to the sale.

The Mountain Garden Club Plant Sale is a fundraiser for the club.  Money raised  funds the scholarship program for local students studying conservation and horticulture.  In addition the fundraiser supports other programs including the club’s Youth Program at Highlands School, the gardens at Fidelia Eckerd Living Center, The Biological Station, and The Land Trust.  These are all important to the Highlands community.  Get to the sale early so you have the best choice.  You will find access to a great selection of plants including cinnamon ferns, dahlias, toad trillium, columbine, miniature plants and much more.
