In Highlands NC play bingo for a cause this Thursday. Shop with a Cop Bingo is a fundraiser put on by the Highlands Rotary Club to raise money for a popular program. Shop with a Cop is in its 6th year and is a special opportunity for lower-income children in the area to go Christmas shopping with a police officer. The bingo game raises money for the program and is a true gift to the Highlands community.
What: Shop with a Cop Bingo
When: Thursday, December 5th, 6:30-8:30 pm
Where: Highlands Community Center
Shop with a Cop will have a cop arrive at the door of a deserving child to take him/her on a shopping trip to Wal Mart. The child will be given $100 to spend and can buy a present for himself and a family member. This is a special experience for both the child and the police officer and is a great effort in community relations.
