Each Saturday through December until Christmas at The Highlands Visitor Center they are having a Ho! Ho! Ho! Santa’s in Highlands! This may be the last chance your child has to get his wish list to Santa in time for Christmas. What a great photo opportunity too!
Still not in the Holiday Spirit? Need a little help getting in the mood? How about a Winter Holiday Concert? The Highlands Chamber Music Festival will be presenting their annual Winter Concert at the Performing Arts Center on Saturday, December 20 at 5pm. All proceeds benefit the Highlands emergency Council. Cost is $20 per Adults and Kids are FREE! Call 828-526-9060 to reserve your seats.
Maybe you don’t want to cook the huge Christmas dinner and want to go out and relax, Fressers Eatery is hosting a Christmas Dinner event on Christmas Day from 11 am to 4 pm. This is a special event in that all the proceeds will benefit the International Friendship Center and the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Organization. The dinner is a buffet style meal and you know it will be delicious as everything Fressers makes is out of this world. It only costs $35 per adult and $25 per child. It’s for a wonderful cause and you don’t have to deal with any messy cleanup if you had stayed home. Call 828-526-8867 for more information.
Looking for a place to celebrate New Year’s Eve? There are more than a few restaurants to choose from. Here is a small selection of some of my favorite places in town.
Madison’s at Old Edwards Inn is hosting a Champagne, truffles and Caviar dinner with a live music by Atlanta’s Rai Ragland Jazz Band. $85 per person. Seating is limited! 828-526-8000
Cyprus International Cuisine is hosting another Rockin’ New Years Party. Come dance the night away with The Hooligans and feast on flavors from around the world. Reservations Required. 828-526-4429
Wolfgang’s on Main is having a bash with a special menu selected just for New Year’s Eve. They have private dining dooms which are perfect for large groups. Call Wolfgang’s at 828-526-3807 to make reservations.
.. On The Verandah is also having a New Year’s Bash. Considered to be the best party in town, they will have music, dancing, party favors and a midnight champagne toast. Two seatings are offered. 6pm-7pm dinner only is $45 per person and the big party is from 8pm until everyone goes home, $80 person. Reservations are required. 828-526-2338
