The Hudson Library offers a wonderful environment to read and learn in Highlands NC. Named after Ella Emmons Hudson, the library was created from a desire to provide reading materials for everyone in Highlands as well as nearby communities. The library was established in 1884 and has a historic presence in the town of Highlands. It is one of the oldest public libraries in North Carolina.
The Hudson Library offers a respite for all who enter its doors. Reading materials include children’s books, periodicals, bestsellers and non-fiction. The library is open five days a week and has something for visitors and residents alike. If you are in Highlands NC the Hudson Library is a peaceful place to pass a few hours relaxing and reading.
