Performances and Activities at this weekend’s Greening up the mountains event

Don’t forget that the “Greening up the Mountains” event is here this weekend on April 25th.  Enjoy live performances with the Triple Threat Performing Arts Academy presenting the first performance of the day with dance and music.  Also slated to perform are Sugar Barnes and Dave Magill showcasing a vintage blues style, The Donnie Clay Band with the Rough Creek Cloggers, Balsam Range’s unique country and gospel blend, Fiddling Dills and the Cullowhee Valley Boys.  Other events include an Earth Day Film Fest with the screening of four films on important environmental topics to be shown at Shot in the Dark on Main Street, a 5K run/walk, and crafts will be displayed as well as demonstrations of crafts.  For more information on this event visit
