Don’t miss the Satulah-bration and chili cook-off in Highlands NC Saturday.  Fall has arrived to our mountain community and this means change is in the air.  The vibrant fall colors and chill in the air begs for a cup of chili.  This weekend the Highlands NC community will be out in force to compete  for the top honors or perhaps simply to judge.

This year the festivities are all about celebrating the first property conserved by the Highlands Cashiers Land Trust in 1909, Satulah Mountain Preserve.  In addition the festivities celebrate all of the 3,000 acres the land trust has protected since the original property. This is the third  annual Satulah-bration!

What can you expect from this year’s Satulah-bration?  Start the day off with a free guided hike au to the peak of Satulah.  There is no better way to start the day! After your hike enjoy the chili  and perhaps be a tasting judge. Of course there will be a host of activities for all ages.  Enjoy this fun family friendly day in the Highlands NC area and celebrate the good work of the Highlands Cashiers Land Trust.
