Sculptures are on display for all to admire in Cashiers NC. The Sculpture on the Green Collection is made up of seven permanent sculptures scattered throughout the Village Green. In addition a biennial competition adds more works on a temporary basis. This summer 9 sculptures were installed for the Sculpture On the Green Biennial Invitational Exhibition. The exhibition is a contest that involves the community.
Everyone in the Cashiers community, whether a resident or a visitor, is invited to vote on his/her favorite sculpture through the end of this month. The “People’s Choice Award” will then be presented to the winning artist. Art is a big part of the Highlands and Cashiers area and the sculptures on display throughout the Village Green demonstrate the inordinate talent and inspiration drawn from our unique area.
