There is still time to catch a great art exhibit in Highlands NC. The annual exhibit at The Bascom “Regional Arts Organizations: Selected Works” is showing through the 31st of March and has some amazing works on display. Organizations that are represented include the Appalachian Pastel Society, the Art League of Highlands, the Blue Ridge Fine Arts Guild, the Blue Ridge Mountains Art Association, the Cherokee County Arts Council and the Macon County Art Association to name a few. The art is varied, interesting and demonstrates the diversity of talents that exists throughout our region.
This Saturday, March 23rd, will be a reception and awards ceremony from 5 to 7 pm, at The Bascom and everyone is welcome. This annual exhibit is one which we all look forward to, showcasing the talents that surrounds us and showing the value that the arts play in our Highlands community.
